BACK: This selection returns you to the main menu of the
system. From there you can move to any other part of the BBS.

GOODBYE: This selection will enable you to leave the BBS and
eventually disconnect the phone line. You will be given a
chance to back out of the selection if you accidentally type
"G" or change your mind about leaving. You also are given a
chance to leave a private note to the operator of the system
even if you are not a registered user.

HELP: This displays the textfile you are now reading.

LEAVE: Registered users may leave messges on any of several
Sigs or bases. You may also leave messages in reply to ones you
are reading. There is a separate help textfile available while
entering messages.

PRIVATE to SysOp: This option lets you leave the SysOp a
message on his printer instead of saving it to the message base
disk file. This is desirable for messages that DON'T NEED
REPLIES! You will also get a chance to use this option at
logoff.

READ: This selection enables any caller to read public messages
on most bases. It is suggested that you call on a regular basis
(say once a week or so) in order to stay "caught up" on reading
and replying to messages. You are usually given the option of
reading new messages when entering this option. If you are way
behind in reading, just skip to the last 50 or so messages to
catch up on the most recent information. You can always go back
later and read skipped messages if you desire. There is a
separate help textfile available while reading messages with
pauses between them.

SCAN: This is used for scanning the message headings to find a
particular person's messages (either to or from) or to find
messages on a specified subject. The search key works in a
similar manner to the search key in the catalog. You may just
press (Enter) if no search key is desired and all message bases
toggled on will be displayed.

TOGGLE: Here you can toggle all message bases to which you have
access. READ means you want to read the base, SKIP means don't
read the base, and a LOCK means you don't have access to the
base. You may toggle as many bases off or on as you desire.
This information is saved when you logoff and will be restored
when you call back.

USER: This option displays the users of the system. You may
select the (S)hort listing which just shows the names or
(D)etailed listing which adds the date of the last call and the
highest numbered message read. You may also enter a Search Key
and search for all the Jim's or Howard's. Press (enter) at the
search key prompt to see the complete user list.
