BACK: This selection returns you to the main menu of the
system. From there you can move to any other part of the BBS.

CATALOG: This selection enables you view the various catalogs
of files on the system available to registered users for
downloading. After you press (C) for catalog, the system will
display all the catalogs available to you. Choose one by
typing the letter in front of the catalog name. This will
become the current catalog and you may only use that catalog
unless you use the (C) option again. Now you must pick either
a short description of the files which includes the filename,
extension and number of records, or a detailed description
which adds a single line description of the file. Next you
will be prompted for a Search Key. To list all the files in
the catalog just press (enter) instead of typing a search
key. To find a certain file, enter all or part of the name
then press (enter). You may also search for extensions
such as:

    BASic files - BAS
    TeXT files - TXT
    DOCument files - DOC

DOWNLOAD: This selection enables registered users to download
files to their computer. Some files may be downloaded into your
buffer but Xmodem protocol of file transfer is recommended for
most transfers. You will need to answer the prompt with the
name of the file you want in either standard TRSDOS format
(FILENAME/EXT) or MsDos format (FILENAME.EXT). If the file is
in the current catalog, the entry is displayed along with the
approximate transmission time. You should answer "Y" for yes
you want the file or "N" if you don't. If the file is ASCII,
you will have to choose between (A)SCII or (X)modem protocols.
If you choose ASCII, then the next question will determine if
you want Buffer Control Codes or not. If your terminal program
supports these codes, your buffer will be opened and closed by
the BBS without any other help from you. Otherwise you will
need to open the buffer manually before starting the transfer
and close the buffer after the transfer. In any case, you will
probably have to save the buffer to disk manually. If you
choose Xmodem transfer (and your terminal program supports it)
then your terminal program should save the program directly to
disk for you and should correct errors found during
transmission. This system at present supports only CHECKSUM
mode of Xmodem.

GOODBYE: This selection will enable you to leave the BBS and
eventually disconnect the phone line. You will be given a
chance to back out of the selection if you accidentally type
"G" or change you mind about leaving. You also are given a
chance to leave a private note to the operator of the system
even if you are not a registered user.

HELP: This displays the textfile you are now reading.

UPLOAD: The option is used to send your files up to the system
for sharing with other users. Xmodem checksum transfer is
required! You will be prompted to leave the SysOp a message at
the end of a valid upload with the computer type, operating
system required, and a complete description of the file sent.
Thanks for only uploading public domain files!
