 ? --> List commands
       --------------&(W
This will give you a short list of the available single letter
commands available from any command menu through the system.

&(C
 A --> Answer ALL questionaire's again
       -------------------------------&(W
This command allows you to re-answer any questionnaire you have
previously completed on this BBS. You will also be able
reanswer your essay and any public message room questionaare.

The changing of sexual preference and gender is not allowed when
re-answering your questionnaire. If for some reason a change is
require in preference or gender, please leave a note to Jeffrey 1
for HELP in making this change (The SysOp can make this change for you).
&(C
 B --> Browse questionaires
       ---------------------&(W
This command allows you to read the answers that others gave
to the system questionaires and essay. When you are asked for a
user number, enter the number following a person's name. Just
the user number alone is needed, you don't need to include their
       system handle.
&(C
 C --> Chat Lounge
       ------------&(W
This command takes you to the CHAT MENU. From this menu, the following
       options are available:
&(Y
       A--> Available for chatting (ChatOK)&(W
This option will change your chat status to ChatOK, which means
you can be pulled into chat by anyone on the system immediately.
&(Y
       I--> INFO&(W
This option just tells you where you may find additional
information on how to use the CHAT and OpenForum systems.
&(Y
L--> LoginsOff mode (NOT notified as a user logon)&(W
This option will change your chat status to LoginsOff , which
means that you will be able to supress the system from telling
you as each user logons the BBS. If a user wishes to chat with
you, a message will appear letting you know of their request for
for a chat, but they will not be able to abruptly pull you into
chat with them. Most people stay in this mode because it gives
them a chance to finish up what they're doing and browse the user
            that wants to chat them.
&(Y
N--> NOTIFY mode (notified as a user logon)&(W
This option will change your chat status to NOTIFY, which means
that you will receive a message telling you that another user
wishes to chat you, rather than being abruptly pulled into chat.
YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED AS EACH USER LOGONS ON THE BBS. If you wish
stop the 'user logon prompts', then set your chat status to
            LoginsOff (option L listed above).
&(Y
       P--> Privacy&(W
This option will change your chat status to Privacy, which means
that no one can chat with you or page you for a chat. You also
will NOT be notified if mail is sent to you, and you will not be
notified when other users log on. You will also not received
PRIVATE pages from OpenFroum (unless you are in OpenForum).
&(Y
T--> Talk with the SysOp (page the console)&(W
This option will page the main console for chat.
Please! Only page the SysOp once, if he is around, he will get
to you as soon as he can.... (multiple paging will log you off!)
&(Y
       O--> OpenForum&(W
There are 32767 OpenForum 'Channels' on the BBS. When you select
option O, you will be given a list of themes for channels 1-6.
You will also be able to check how many users are in each of the
public OpenForum channels to see which one has the most activity.

Once you have entered a Channel, everything you type will
be sent to all other users who are within that same Channel.

C--> CHAT (private chat with another user)&(W
You may have a private ONE to ONE conversation with another user
on the BBS system. You will need to know their USER NUMER to
have a chat with them (you can find this by doing a 'W' for WHO's
currently online the BBS system). Of course, the person must be
logged on the BBS to chat. The right side of your screen shows
their chat status. Chats are limited to a maximum of 60 minutes.
&(R
NOTE: Level 4 is the lowest access level that is allowed to
use the chat/OpenForum portions of the BBS system.
&(G
    CHAT STATUS definitions:
&(W
ChatOK : You may enter chat with the person immediately.

Notify : If you try to chat them now, they will get a
message saying that you want to chat. They will
pull you into chat when they are ready. (NOTE: If
you are also in NOTIFY mode, you will need to change
to ChatOK so they can pull you into chat mode.)

LoginsOff : LoginsOff is the same as Notify, but User Login
                         Announcements are not displyed.

Privacy : This person does not want to chat now, and will
not receive chat requests, email mail announcements,
announcements as users come online or /P's from OF.

Shopping! : This user is currently in the Online Ordering system
section of this BBS (option O from main menu)

OpenForum # : This person is currently in the OpenForum section
-or- of the BBS system. The number directly following
OpenForum X OpenForum will tell you what channel they are in.
If an X displays where the channel number should be,
this indicates they are located in a private channel.

Chatting : This person is already chatting. If you try to chat
them, they will get a chat request message.

Library : This person is uploading or downloading software. In
this mode, he cannot receive chat requests or chat.

              Q'aire : This user is re-answering his/her questionnaire or
Essay. If you want to chat with this user, you will
have to wait until they have completed it.

Email : This person is sending mail. They will receive your
chat requests, as long as they are not 'mute' or
'PageOff', but cannot be pulled into chat immediately.

Mute : This person's userlevel is too low to permit chatting.

Connecting : This user has just come online and the system is
reading into memory all their mail and system data.

                   * : This person has paged Jeff, the SysOp, for assistance.

If you attempt to chat someone and you get no message, then the
person you were trying to chat either is logged off or in mute
mode. To chat with a person on line 0, use the T option from the
chat menu, not the C option.
&(G
             CHAT COURTESY:
&(W
                      - Browse the person that you are about to chat with
first, so that you don't have to ask them questions
                        they have already answered.

                      - Hit enter twice when you are finished typing, so that
other person will know that it's his turn. To exit a
                        chat session, CTRL-C.

                      - Others are more likely to want to chat with you if you
send them mail asking for a chat first and mentioning
what you'd like to chat with them about.

                      - NEVER chat page anyone more than 2 times. This can
be very annoying to the person being paged.

                      - If you chat with someone who is rude, vulgar or is
just trying to sell you something, please notify the
                        sysop.

 P --> Public message board
       ---------------------&(W
The public message board is where items of general interest
are posted (as opposed to private mail). There are a number
of categories -- please post your message in an appropriate
       category.

&(C
 R --> Read private Email
       -------------------&(W
This command allows you to read mail that other users have sent
to you. It is automatically executed when you log on. After
you have read a message, you'll have the option of browsing the
questionaire of the person who sent you the message, replying to
the message, re-reading the message or deleting the message.
Deleted messages can be un-deleted until you logoff.
&(R
    NOTE: &(W
Even though you may delete messages in your mailbox, they are still
taking up your mailbox slots. If your mailbox is full, we highly
suggest that you log-off and back on the system. Doing so will actually
delete the messages, freeing up your mail slots for additional NEW
messages while you are online. See command X for more information on
       how to do this easily...

&(C
 S --> Send private Email
       -------------------&(W
This command allows you to send mail to other users you have
matched with or noticed on the public board or through the user
log. It will ask for a file number (the same as the browse
command does), and you may then enter your message. You'll be
given the option to edit, list, send, abort or continue while
entering your message. A minimun user level is required to send
mail. There is also a hold function available. If you use the "H"
command the letter will be left in memory so you may go back
and re-read mail or a public message, browse a questionairre
or whatever and go back to the same spot in the letter so you may
continue entering the message. Messages are limited to a maximum
of &li lines. If a user's mailbox is full, you will not be able
to send them Email at this time.

When you enter this number, the automated voice system will read off
your 7-digit subscription ID and a flat charge will appear on your
next phone bill under the name "True Media Services".

When you get that 7-digit code, simply log back on to the BBS. Type
T at the main system menu and input in the 7-digit code. The BBS will
raise up your access level and give you the access you have purchased.

ASCII transfers are plain unencoded transfers without error checking
and are suitable ONLY FOR TEXT FILES. An ASCII upload is terminated
by a Ctrl-C. You must enable XON/XOFF on your computer.

XMODEM transfers use the XMODEM error checking protocol. Your
communication program must have XMODEM capabilities to use this.
Either standard XMODEM or XMODEM/CRC is accepted.

XMODEM-1K transfers files using the larger 1024 block size. The larger
block size will save you time when downloading files. Your software
communication program must have XMODEM-1K abilities to use this protocol.
(This protocol is sometimes refered to as a form of Ymodem).

X-MODEM-1K-G is even faster than the above protocols. You will find
better performance using the -G varient over packet-switched networks.
&(G
(NOTE: Ymodem BATCH is not the same as Xmodem-1k or 1K-G and won't work).
&(W
UPLOAD means a file transfer FROM YOU to The DLX Support BBS.
DOWNLOAD means a file transfer TO YOU from The DLX Support BBS.

&(Y
                  -----------------------------------------
DOS Users: --- INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING SOFTWARE ---
                  -----------------------------------------
&(W
DEFINITIONS:
Downloading: Transfering a file from the Support BBS Library to your computer.
Uploading: Transfering a file from your computer to the Support BBS library.

1) Go to the Software Library, and choose a Section. Type 'L' for a menu of
the various sections. Our library is divided into categories of software,
   such as MAC, PICTURES, etc.

2) Type 'L' to list the files available in that section. Select a file to
download. Note the file's extention (the 3 letters after the dot), if
any. Most (DOS) files have an extention of .ZIP or .ARC or .LZH

3) We suggest that you use "XMODEM Protocol" to transter files. Xmodem
will correct most errors that are caused by a bad connection. Don't
worry if you see an 'error count' on your screen, as the bad data is
sent again until you get a good copy. (There are faster protocols than
standard X-modem, but start with this one until you get the hang of it)

4) You will be asked the name of the file to download. Enter the full
name of the file, including the "." and extention. Example: FILE.ZIP

5) If the system tells you that the file cannot be found, or has a bad
format, make sure that you have accurately typed the filename. If
the filename is correct, the system will say "Beginning Download", and
tell you the approximate download time, assuming that there will be no
errors to correct. YOU MUST START YOUR DOWNLOAD WITHIN 30 SECONDS! If
you take too long, you'll get a 'Protocol Error', and have to start
   over.

6) After step 5, you must tell your communications software to receive
a Xmodem Download. In most software (like Procomm), you begin by pressing
the page down key. You should then see a pop-up menu with Xmodem as one
   of the choices. Select Xmodem.

7) Next, your communications software should ask for a filename. This
will be the name of the file on YOUR disk. We suggest that you make
   it the same name.

8) After entering the filename, the transfer of data should begin. When
the transfer is complete, it will stop automatically.

*Note 1 - You may use downloaded files at your own risk. We assueme NO
responsiblity for the content or use of the file of software in
our library. If you experience a problem with any file, notify
          the sysop immediately.

*Note 2 - Most programs have been compressed so that they take up less space
and are faster to download. You will need to decompress the files
before you can use them. There are 3 main methods of compession or
packing for the MS-DOS/PC type computers. You will need to download
and run the de-packing program listed below before you can unpack
any files that you are going to download. (For PC-DOS users only!)

MAC Users!

*Note 4 - MAC Users - Instead of using .ARC or .ZIP to pack files, MAC users
have a packing format called .SIT or .CPT SIT and CPT files are
created and can be un-packed with some special utilities available on the BBS system. You may find either the decompression program
for the SIT or CPT files in the library category called SUPPORT.
