   @H@C4Format:@R
      @HREAD @C3<[options][,BT][,##]>

   @H@C4Options:@R
      @C3*, -A,-B,-C,-H,-R,-T,-U@R

   @H@C4Access:@R
      All users with Read-Maskbit for base to be read.

   @C6This command permits you to read messages from any base you have access to, There are a wide variety of commands within the @HREAD@R@C6 command itself that permit you to change the flow of events during reading. Further help on these options is available by typing @H?@R@C6 from the read command prompt.

   Typing @C3READ@C6 with no parameters will begin reading at the first new message on the current base. If you are not currently on a base, you will be moved to the first joined base you have access to, containing new messages. If you are on a base that has no new messages, you will be moved forward to the first base that does.@R

@HREAD BT@R@C6 Begins reading at the first new message on base @C3BT@C6 if it exists,
            otherwise it will scan forward through the bases that you are
            joined to in search of new messages.@R
@HREAD *@R@C6 Operates the same as @C3READ BT@C6 except it begins scanning from the
            first base in the directory.@R
@HREAD ##@R@C6 Begins reading at message @C3##@C6 on the current base.@R
@HREAD BT,##@R@C6 Begins reading at message @C3##@C6 on base @C3BT@R

@C5Options:@R
@C3-A@H Stop at all bases.@R@C6 When using the @HF@R@C6 and @HB@R@C6 subcommands in the @C3READ@C6
     command, you will stop at every base whether there are new messages on
     that base or not.

@C3-B@H Read in continuous BASE mode.@R@C6 Once the end of the current base is
     encountered you will be moved forward automatically to the next joined
     base with new messages.

@C3-C@H Read in continuous, MESSAGE mode.@R@C6 The readscan will start at the first
     new message it comes across and continue reading non-stop until the end
     of the base is encountered. When this mode is engaged the @HMORE@R@C6 prompt is
     temporarily disabled. Striking any key will abort the continuous mode.
     This mode is identical to the @HC@R@C6 function within the read command.

     @H@C1NOTE@R@C6: When options @C3-B@C6 and @C3-C@C6 are used together the @C3READ@C6 command will
     begin reading from the current point to the very last base on the system
     without stopping once.

@C3-H @HMessage scan by post handle.@R@C6 When you enter the @C3READ@C6 command with this
     option, you will be asked to enter a handle filter to search by. There
     are no wildcards to this operation. Any messages saved with a handle
     that contains the filter that you typed will be included in the read
     scan. Handle scans are done using the handle the post was saved under,
     and @HNOT@R@C6 under the handle of the actual poster. If a user uses the @H/H@R@C6
     option to change the handle save name of the post, his identity remains
     unknown when using this option.

@C3-T @HScan by titles.@R@C6 This option will cause the @C3READ@C6 command to display only
     the titles of the posts. The rest of the message is discarded.

@C3-U @HInclude unjoined bases.@R@C6 This overrides the @HJOIN@R@C6/@HUNJOIN@R@C6 command and
     causes the system to stop at all bases that have new messages, ignoring
     whether you are JOINed to a base or not.
