@C6Okay, @HMAC@R@C6 users, if you are using @H@C1F@R@C6-@H@C1MODEM@R@C6 or @H@C1RED RYDER@R@C6 or other term programs that support @RVT52@C6,@R VT100@C6, or@R ANSI@R @C6emulation modes, you should be using our ansi message editor for your posts and not the default TTY editor. Check your account stats with the @HCONFIG@R@C6 command to view or change your emulation, screen width (should be @H80@R@C6 characters), etc.

Here's a quick note that addresses the fact that the MAC does not have a CONTROL key (@HCTRL@R@C6) as is specified in the ansi editor's helpfile:@H@R

@R@C1The message editor puts you automatically into an @HOVERSTRIKE@R@C1 mode, has @Hword wrap@R@C1, and mentions using @HCTRL-X@R@C1 to toggle functions available to you.

On the @HMacintosh@R@C1, @ROPTION-X@R@C1 equals ibm @HCTRL-X@R@C1. Use it within the ansi message editor to get to the @Hfunction prompt@R@C1. As you'll see, you then have dozens of possibilities which I'll let you go crazy with later. Here's the important ones to know...@R
@H@C4___________________________________________________________________________
@R
OPTION -X   @C6function prompt@R
OPTION -Q   @C6toggles between @HOVERSTRIKE@R@C6 and @HINSERT@R@C6 mode@R
OPTION -S   @C6Save your message@R
OPTION -A   @C6Abort your message@R
OPTION -?   @C6helpfile@R
OPTION -V @C6re-view your text. If you've inserted color codes, the color
            will show before returning you to the editor (MAC II users can
            appreciate that anyway. Some term programs for the MAC will show
            BOLD text wherever color or highlighting has been used. None, to
            my knowledge, will show our blinking characters.@R
@H@C4__________________________________________________________________________@R
@C1Those are the basics. Many of the others listed are SysOp or special access only.@R
