June 8, 2000 Secret Identity A bizarre identity crisis is unfolding in Central Indiana this morning. The secret past of a successful businessman is coming to light just a couple weeks after his death. Bob Hoquim (ho-kim) first came to Indiana back in 1987 and started I-Quest Internet. 13 years later a much darker side has been revealed. Detectives found a Colorado driver's license identifying him as John Paul Aleshe (aleesh-ay). In fact, police and federal agents suspect he used at least twenty-one different aliases. And fingerprints sent to the FBI also confirmed he was a fugitive from justice. "In 1986, he assaulted a police officer in Irving, Texas. He was arrested, bonded out and then went on the run," said Det. Brett Reichart, Nobelsville Police. Texas authorities had an attempted murder warrant out for him. He has a criminal past in other states, mostly white collar type crimes. Bob Hoquim (ho-kim) died of a heart attack in Noblesville on May 23rd.
