Naturally, people are wondering what the shooting schedule is, who I
am interviewing, and where I am going to be at what time. With the
documentary a year into filming, I've realized that printing an actual
Calendar is a complete mistake. It's inaccurate, out-of-date and
experience has shown I travel with very little warning, so checking
back here wouldn't help anyone. So, this section is just going to show
a rough timeline for what needs to be done.

INTERVIEWS
|
I have spent most of 2002's documentary time concentrating on
contacting folks, travelling around the country (and to Canada),
interviewing people, and keeping track of my footage. I've sent
out something like 4,000 e-mails, spoken to 2,000+ people in doing
so, and gone something on the level of 30,000 miles by plane and
car.

EDITING
|
I will be editing together the hundreds of hours of interviews
and the thousands of images and other materials I've collected
into a series of episodes centered around different aspects of
the BBS. This will take an enormously long time, but I hope to
have segments to show folks sooner rather than later.

INTERVIEWS
|
Interviews will continue through the majority of 2003,
although they will become more "concentrated" on specific
folks and the others lucky enough to surround them. I will
be going after people who "represent" specific events or
situations in the BBS world. This is mostly to tighten the
focus of my trips, and make sure all the big stuff gets on
tape in some way.

FAME AND FORTUNE
|
Well, I'll settle for a few birthday cards and somebody buying a
copy or two of the DVDs. (My birthday is September 13th, by the way.)
I don't know if I'll really be taking a vacation or anything, since
this whole project has been like the best tour of the countryside
I've ever done, but I might be a little less quick to respond to
nostalgic e-mails for a week or two.
